We offer flexible engagement models so you can build a role that fits your life. All positions require a minimum caseload commitment, discussed during the interview process.

Compensation
$95 – $105 per session
Paid per session, including prep, session time,

Qualifications

What you bring

We welcome applications from SLPs at all career stages: new graduates, experienced clinicians, and public-health SLPs considering a move to private practice.

Requirements
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active or Conditional CHCPBC registration
Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel within Vancouver and surrounding areas
Nice-to-Haves
Interest in early intervention (ages 0–5)
RASP designation, or willingness to pursue it with supervision
Experience or interest in accent modification and professional communication

We work with both children and adults across a range of communication challenges, including speech, language, and social communication disorders. What is the typical caseload size for therapists at Arbutus?

We have a range of caseload sizes from part time to full time. At Arbutus Speech Therapy, we work with you to build your ideal caseload.

How much do you pay?

Compensation at Arbutus Speech Therapy is competitive and based on qualifications, experience, and caseload. Therapists are paid per session which includes prep time, session time and post session documentation. We offer competitive rates to ensure that our therapists feel valued for their expertise and dedication. Specifics vary based on experience and can be discussed during the interview process.

What does the rest of your hiring process look like?

Typically, our hiring process begins with a brief meet and greet phone call to align on the position and get to know each other. From there, a more formal interview is scheduled, which delves into your SLP experience as well as your work style and personal values. For successful applicants, references will be requested as a condition of offer. Other documents may be requested at time of offer such as police check, insurance and proof of education etc.

Yes, we do our best to offer volunteer opportunities on a limited basis. We encourage you to connect and let us know about you, and we will do our best to advance your SLP career!

Which areas do you service?

Our home area is Vancouver, with limited availability in Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, North Vancouver & West Vancouver.
Online sessions are available anywhere in British Columbia.
